Sultan Mahmud Riayat Syah( 1761-1812)

He is first sultan becoming king in daik as center of Kesulatanan Riau Lingga, he married Princess Hamidah or referred as putri hamidah representing handle of relegia of Kesultanan melayu Riau Lingga and his dowry is miraculous penyengat island (pulau penyengat). And pulau penyengat become the place of domicile
, he is one born of blood of king of Malay and bugis which is pursuant to oath of allegiance of power of empire of former Malay riau colossus. At Sultan epoch the mosque daik founded as well as defender fortress in mepar island and hill of ceneng and ditch town , Sultan often bear arms against the colonist with Raja haji fisabilillah ( marhum teluk ketapang).Sultan Mahmud Riayat Syah pass away at 18 zulhijah 1226 ( January 1812) in daik and buried behind sultan mosque
